Adversity...

Marcia remembers: "His father was a chain smoker, when Darwin and I saw grandpa Bodine in the hospital he was smoking through his trake in his neck. His mom died because she was driving while drunk and ran into a telephone pole. Yet dad loved them, and stayed strong. He told me that addiction was in my blood from both of his parents so I am very careful what I put in my body."
"When he passed a kidney stone the pain was so great that he physically bend down the metal bed rails of the hospital bed and refused pain medication because he feared addiction."
