Nice Night In June....

Who of you remember Dad reciting this goofy poem?

"Nice night in June....
Stars shine, big moon....
In park, on bench, with girl in clench....
Me say me love, she coo like dove....
Me smart, me fast, never let chance pass....
Get hitched me say, she say OK.....
Wedding bells ring, ring, honeymoon everything....
Settled down married life, happy man, happy wife....
Another night in June....
Stars shine, big moon....
Aint happy no more.....
Carry baby walk floor....
Wife mad, she fuss....
Me mad, me cuss....
Nagging wife, bawling bratt....
Realize at last..... me too darn fast!!!!!"

  1. My mom recited the first few lines of this to me many years ago when I was little. She could only remember the few lines to the poem. Thank you for posting this, it's too late to tell my mom the rest of the poem but I appreciate your posting this.
